    Renewables

Our renewables sector brings together legal experts from a broad range of disciplines that deliver advice throughout the whole lifecycle of any renewables project. Our industry specialists are involved in a broad range of areas including wind, solar, wave, hydro, biomass and landfill gas generation projects.

"It’s essential that your legal advisors have a speciality in this area because of the complexity of the energy market. TLT has that specialist knowledge.“

    - Ecotricity

From our first involvement with wind farms in 1998, our strong reputation has grown through maintaining excellent relationships with developers, banks, utility companies, landowners, government agencies and government funded organisations.

The team, led by partner Maria Connolly, is focused upon meeting the needs of organisations involved in a wide range of renewable energy technologies.

Our experts regularly advise on procurement techniques and strategies, project structuring and finance, regulatory issues and resolution of complex disputes that can sometimes arise in connection with renewable energy projects. We have advised one of the UK's first renewable energy companies, Ecotricity Group, on a significant number of Merchant Wind Park Projects and also act for Triodos, Cornwall Light and Power, TIF Group, RidgeWind and Energy Saving Trust.

TLT is a longstanding member of the Renewable Energy Association, REGEN South West and Renewable UK.
