Suzanne MacDonald

Suzanne MacDonald is a consultant in the Financial Services Regulation team. Suzanne specialises in legal and regulatory advice to banks, mortgage lenders, e-money issuers, commodity traders and other financial institutions. She is particularly active in drafting and advising on the enforceability of retail product conditions, due diligence and advising on B2B product distribution arrangements, including book purchases. Additionally, she regularly advises on cross border financial services initiatives and the impact of EU Directives on particular financial services/trading sectors.

Suzanne assists clients who are subject to FSA investigations and is experienced in managing difficult complainants and anti-money laundering related issues.

Suzanne understands regulatory matters from the client's perspective having worked in house for RBS Insurance, Abbey National and as head of Legal at John Charcol.
