Philip is a partner in the Commercial Services Group and is a highly respected litigator with over 25 years' experience in insolvency and business breakdown work. He is recognised by Legal 500 as a "leading individual" and by the Chambers directory as a leader in the fields of dispute resolution,  insolvency and partnerships.

He has acted extensively for a wide range of businesses, including businesses in distress and also for banks, insolvency practitioners and Official Receivers. He specialises in the following areas:

• Shareholder disputes
• Partnership disputes
• Claims against directors
• Injunctions - he has acted on a number of occasions for claimants, defendants and as supervising solicitor in relation to search and seize orders
• Corporate and personal insolvency
• Mediation and arbitration - he has frequently been appointed to act as mediator or arbitrator in relation to a variety of commercial disputes

Philip qualified as a solicitor in 1986 and joined the firm in 1995.
