James is a partner and head of TLT's Technology & Media group. He co-ordinates the development of the firm's services to organisations in the technology, media and telecoms sectors. He advises on technology development and licensing (including OEM/VAR and similar distribution arrangements); ICT procurement, outsourcing, managed service and cloud based solutions and data privacy.

James also leads our Brands team, who advise on all aspects of brand protection, including trade mark and registered design filings, oppositions, infringements, passing off, licensing, sponsorship and merchandising on a worldwide basis. 

He is known for his work with digital businesses and other organisations in the creative sector, handling research and development collaborations, social media and content licensing arrangements.

James is a trustee of Watershed Media Centre and a director of iShed CIC - a community interest company set up to promote collaborations across the media & technology sectors.

James is recommended as a 'Leader in his Field' by Chambers UK.
