Bill is head of the Commercial Services group. He is a commercial advisor who specialises in merger control, competition and state aid.

As well as being recognised for his skill as an adviser to the UK Government and Scottish Executive on significant funding programmes run by the Energy Saving Trust, Bill assists the firm's public sector clients (including local authorities, housing associations, police authorities and universities) on state aid and procurement law.

Bill has been recommended as a 'Leader in the Field' of Competition/European Law by Chambers UK and is also recommended as a 'leading individual' by Legal 500.

He qualified as a solicitor in 1995 and joined the firm in 1997.
