Call recording- Some of our work is regulated by the Financial Services Authority as well as the Solicitors Regulation Authority and they require that we record our telephone calls for certain transactions dealt with by the firm. We also record all calls dealt with by the Risk & Compliance team who handle our complaints. This is so that we can use the calls for training. If we use a recording for training purposes, we will do everything we can to ensure that individuals are not identifiable from the call.
Financial Services
General insurance- TLT is not regulated by the Financial Services Authority ('the FSA'). However, we are included on the register maintained by the FSA so that we can carry on insurance mediation activity (broadly, the advising on, selling and administration of insurance contracts). This part of our business, including arrangements for complaints or redress if something goes wrong, is regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority. The Register can be inspected at the FSA's website.
Investments - TLT is not authorised under the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 but we are able in certain circumstances to offer a limited range of investments services to clients because we are regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority. We can provide these investment services if they are an incidental part of the professional services that we have been engaged to provide.
