Solar PV

"It’s essential that your legal advisors have a specialty in this area because of the complexity of the energy market. TLT has that specialist knowledge."
- Ecotricity

With government led initiatives, such as Feed-In-Tariffs and the Renewable Heat Incentive, the solar photovoltaic (PV) market in the UK is expected to grow dramatically in the next few years.

From our first involvement with renewable energy in 1998 we have built up a strong reputation for helping clients achieve their renewable energy ambitions. Our team is highly adept at advising on the main legal issues affecting PV installations including finance, planning, property, installation and maintenance.

Over the last decade, we have acted for both developers and funders in relation to a wide range of renewable energy projects and are currently advising a number of clients on proposals to install new PV capacity with the support of Feed-In-Tariffs and the Renewable Heat incentive.

We're one of the first law firms to launch 'Plain English' legal documentation which helps solar PV developers quickly and cost efficiently formalise agreements for the installation and operation of rooftop solar PV panels. Many developers are already benefitting from this approach and capitalising on the government's renewable incentive scheme.
