Lasting Powers of Attorney

"You dealt with what was an emotionally challenging situation for me in a sensitive and highly competent manner. I was treated courteously and efficiently".

- Client quote

A Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA) is an important legal document that gives very wide powers to attorneys to act in financial and property affairs, or health and social care issues if you or a member of your family loses mental capacity.

LPAs as they are known have replaced Enduring Powers of Attorney and the advantage of them over ordinary powers is that they remain valid even if mental capacity is lost. They raise important decisions to make about trust in individuals having power to deal with financial affairs, and health issues.

We have significant experience and expertise in advising on all aspects of Lasting Powers of Attorney, including the legal requirements to make sure that the LPAs are valid.
