Employment issues in the Financial Services sector

The financial services sector is a key part of our business, contributing over 40% of TLT's turnover.

The Employment team has many longstanding relationships in the sector, including insurers, banks and mortgage lenders.

Our experience gives us an understanding of the diverse range of challenges within the financial services sector which means we can advise you in context, and take account of the sensitivity of some of the issues involved.

For instance we are able to draw on our experience of the regulatory environment to advise on complex malpractice, performance or whistle-blowing issues, and call upon the expertise of colleagues who specialise solely in compliance issues. Our expertise allows us to anticipate competing employment and regulatory concerns and focus your risk management accordingly.

We have similarly advised financial services institutions on disciplinary investigations with possible regulatory implications, harmonising terms and conditions, the provision of references, remuneration issues and bonuses, outsourcing and senior exits (including FSA "approved person" exits).
