TLT reappointed to Barclays panels
01 July 2009
As part of Barclays Bank's biennial panel review, TLT has been reappointed to the bank's Litigation and Corporate Recovery panels commencing 1st July 2009 for a two year period.
Jonathan Hoey, TLT's lead partner for Barclays and Head of Banking Litigation, says "I am absolutely delighted that we have been retained on our existing panels, despite tough competition. This panel review highlighted Barclays' close examination of its needs in terms of external suppliers and we were asked to be more creative than ever with suggested billing methods and other value-added services."
TLT has been acting for the bank since 1987 and was first appointed to the Litigation and Corporate Recovery panels in 1997. TLT has strengthened its relationship with the bank over the years through a series of senior-level secondments.
With over 50 fee-earners operating across its London and Bristol offices, TLT has one of the top three Banking Litigation practices in the UK outside of London (according to Chambers UK, 2009). The team has increased in size by 45% over the last 12 months.
TLT's 33-strong Corporate Recovery team includes 11 independently recognised experts (Chambers UK, 2009) and has dedicated specialists in insolvency and corporate restructuring as well as specialist support from property, pensions, employment and licensing experts.
TLT's Banking Litigation and Corporate Recovery practices are pivotal to the firm's focus on the Financial Services sector, which currently comprises over 35% of the firm's turnover. TLT advises most of the UK's largest banking institutions as well as an increasing number of international banks on acquisition funding, asset finance, financial services regulation, professional negligence, property finance, ship finance and trade finance.
