07 October 2011
The Financial Times has named national law firm TLT as an innovative law firm for the fifth consecutive year. The announcement was made as part of at the Financial Times' Innovative Lawyers Awards 2011.
TLT was commended in the strategy category for its Aspire training initiative for associates which is designed to accelerate the learning of TLT's future leaders.
In previous years the firm has been recognised for efficiency for its plot sales extranet which helps housing providers manage and quickly sell plots and highly commended for its innovative pensions extranet. TLT has been recognised for client service for Punch Taverns, marketing and PR for a client event, as well as being commended for innovation in the financial services sector for being the first law firm to identify the benefit of, and to obtain, a global substitution order which helps clients save significant time and money when acquiring new mortgage portfolios.
Managing partner David Pester says, "I'm delighted that our efforts have once again been recognised. TLT operates in an increasingly competitive market and it is through client service innovations and consistently providing excellent service and value for money that the firm will continue to grow."
This success builds on a strong year for the firm which has also been named as one of the best legal employers in the UK following an accreditation from Best Companies Limited, which carries out the research for the Sunday Times 100 Best Companies list. The firm has been named Law Firm of the Year at the Bristol Law Society Awards 2011 for delivering strong financial results, winning several household name clients, and for successfully recruiting and retaining talent.
