TLT strengthens City insolvency practice

TLT has recruited corporate recovery and insolvency lawyer Andrew Lockerbie from leading City law firm Nabarro. Andrew joins TLT's London office as an associate in the firm's 12-strong corporate recovery and insolvency team, which is independently recognised as a top-tier practice (Chambers UK 2010).

As a senior associate at Nabarro, Andrew worked within the corporate recovery and insolvency team advising insolvency practitioners from the big four and national accountancy practices on major UK insolvencies. Andrew also advised the boards of major UK and international companies on financial and corporate restructuring and lenders on issues relating to the enforcement of security. Andrew is a sub-editor of “Tolley’s Insolvency Law” and a contributor to publications including ‘Recovery’ magazine.

Prior to joining Nabarro Andrew worked within the corporate recovery and insolvency teams at Eversheds and Holman Fenwick Willan.

TLT's 12-strong team includes three partners and is dedicated exclusively to corporate recovery and insolvency work. TLT is on a number of key bank panels, including the Business Support panel of Barclays Bank Plc. The team also acts for The Royal Bank of Scotland, HSBC, Bank of Ireland, Clydesdale Bank and AIB, as well insolvency practitioners from all the major accountancy practices. TLT has an exclusive contract with The Insolvency Service, undertaking work for the Official Receiver's offices nationally.

TLT's Corporate Recovery and Insolvency team is supported a further 22 lawyers, all of whom have extensive experience and genuine expertise in insolvency matters. Specifically, the team is supported by a specialist property team dedicated to fixed-charge receivership work and real estate disposals for insolvency office holders; a turnaround team dedicated to restructuring; and a general support team comprising specialists in pensions, licensing and employment law.
