TLT advises Envirotec on the sale of air conditioning subsidiary
07 July 2009
Top 100 law firm TLT has advised Envirotec on the sale of Westway Cooling Ltd to its management team. Westway Cooling Ltd is a provider of high quality air conditioning and facilities management services and has a turnover of £10million.
Corporate finance experts from TLT, led by partner and Young Dealmaker of the Year (2008 South West Deal Awards) Andrew Webber, advised Envirotec on the sale which completed on 17 June.
TLT has worked with Envirotec on several projects, including the acquisition of Westway in 2007 which has provided the group with a faster return than organic growth. Established in 1969 Envirotec continues to grow by extending its product and service offering within the air quality market in the UK and EMEA. Envirotec made the strategic decision to sell Westway to its management team so both companies can pursue other opportunities in today's different trading conditions.
Westway's management team was backed in their buyout by Maven Capital Partners LLP. KPMG's Reading office also provided advice to Envirotec, led by Adrian Dray.
TLT's corporate finance practice has seen 17% year-on-year growth and now comprises 20 fee earners including 10 partners and two independently recognised experts (Chambers UK). An increased London presence following the acquisition of international commercial firm Constant & Constant in 2007, has helped strengthen the practice and attract and retain new clients including many FTSE and AIM-listed companies, such as Avon Rubber Plc and TUI Travel Plc.
