TLT acts in MBO of leading title insurance provider

The award-winning corporate finance team at top 100 law firm TLT has advised Christopher Taylor, the Chief Executive Officer of London & European Title Insurance Services Limited, in the management buy out of the UK's leading title insurer from French company, APRIL Group.

Andrew Webber, a partner in TLT's Corporate Finance team and Young Dealmaker of the Year (2008 South West Deal Awards) led on the transaction and was assisted by solicitor Peter Naylor. They completed the transaction within a short turnaround time to ensure a smooth handover of the regulated business.

I firmly believe that there is a tremendous opportunity to expand our horizons even further and grow our business as the economy slowly starts to recover."

Bond Pearce advised the selling French parent company APRIL in this transaction.

TLT's corporate finance practice has seen 17% year-on-year growth and now comprises 20 fee earners including 10 partners and two independently recognised experts (Chambers UK). An increased London presence following the acquisition of international commercial firm Constant & Constant in 2007, has helped strengthen the practice and attract and retain new clients including many FTSE and AIM-listed companies, such as Avon Rubber Plc and TUI Travel Plc.
