Launch of UK legal sector's first shared library service

Award-winning national law firm TLT is taking a leading role in the UK legal industry’s first shared library service for law firms and corporate legal departments. TLT is finalising a multi-year agreement for a shared library service with Integreon, a well-established provider of knowledge and legal support services, which will deliver enhanced service and additional cost-efficiencies to TLT clients.

Integreon will take over the provision of TLT's library and information service from 18 January 2010 and will perform those services currently undertaken by the firm's existing in-house team, including legal and business research, and management of books, journals and electronic services. Through the arrangement TLT will benefit in a number of ways including access to an increased range of texts, and greater research capability enabling the firm to deliver a more competitive, flexible and focused service to clients. TLT will not need to make any redundancies as all five library employees will be guaranteed roles at Integreon.

Outsourcing the firm's library service to Integreon will help deliver enhanced service and additional cost-efficiencies to TLT clients. We are currently in the process of consulting with staff but it was important to us to include in the agreement that the firm's existing library employees will have guaranteed roles with Integreon."
