Financial Times recognises TLT as one of Europe's most innovative law firms

16 October 2008

Top 100 UK law firm TLT was today recognised for its innovative approach in the Financial Times' Innovative Lawyer Report 2008. The firm was ranked by the FT as the 36th most innovative firm in Europe and was highly commended for both its technology and know-how and its marketing and PR.

The firm's pensions extranet, which enables trustees to meet the requirements of the Government's Pensions Regulator, through interactive scheme documents, has proven cost and time saving benefits for clients and was described by the FT as "a ground-breaking resource for pension trustees". The firm was also recognised for its "novel" approach to a one-day event organised for a major financial services client. The event received one of the highest scores for innovation in Marketing and PR.

TLT's Managing Partner David Pester says, "TLT is an energetic and ambitious law firm with an open and collaborative culture and we are continually looking at how we can deliver our legal services efficiently, cost-effectively and innovatively for the benefit of clients. We're delighted to have been recognised by the Financial Times."

The Innovative Lawyer report is based upon over 600 submissions, 690 interviews and six months of research of European law firms conducted by the FT's research partner, RSG Consulting, as well as expert consultants and industry commentators. Each law firm initiative was assessed for its originality, rationale and impact ensuring that the awards give an in-depth and accurate picture of innovative practice across the legal profession.
