TLT strengthens property development expertise with new partner from Eversheds

Award-winning, top 100 law firm TLT has appointed property development heavyweight David Smithen as partner in its rapidly expanding Real Estate Group. David joins from Eversheds' Birmingham office where he established a strong reputation across a broad portfolio of public and private sector development work for developers, public bodies and occupiers.
David has led on major urban regeneration, joint-venture and development projects both at Eversheds and his previous firm, Pinsent Masons. He also has extensive experience in large and complex property-led corporate acquisitions and disposals for national and international clients.
David's considerable expertise and depth of experience across a range of property specialisms will contribute significantly to the continued success of the Group. TLT is recognised as having one of the leading Real Estate Groups in the South West, with over 130 people including 20 partners working across the firm's Bristol and London offices. The Group includes a number of nationally recognised individuals with a broad range of property expertise including estate management, planning, property development, environment and dispute resolution, and supported by specialists in construction, tax and investment. David will work closely with commercial development partners Nick Pritchard and Tim Rowe.
