"Dynamic" and "ambitious" TLT recommended to trainees
13 October 2011
TLT has been recommended as a firm candidates should "seriously consider" by an independent guide to UK law firms for law students.
In yet another exemplary report for the firm the Lex 100 guide praised TLT for "attracting a lot of very motivated staff" and commended the firm for the experience it offers to trainee solicitors during their training contracts.
The Lex 100 guide is compiled from independent research and anonymous surveys with trainees across the UK to find out what it's really like to work at a leading law firm.
TLT has been named as a "Lex 100 Winner" in four categories this year. The firm was ranked amongst the top 20 in the country for job satisfaction, quality of work and client contact, with one trainee stating "I have more direct contact with clients than peers at other firms". TLT was also named amongst the top 10 firms in the country for its trainees feeling confident of being offered a position at the end of their training contract.
Feedback from trainees revealed that they chose the firm because TLT provides "opportunities for career progression" and "attracts top-quality work from blue-chip clients". Trainees also praised the "young, dynamic" firm's "genuine friendliness and investment in its employees" and the "good work/life balance" on offer.
TLT's HR Director Graham de Guise says, "Because the Lex 100 uses anonymous feedback from our trainees we really value the results the guide produces. I'm delighted that our trainees experience high levels of job satisfaction and find their careers at TLT are enjoyable, challenging and rewarding."
Trainees at TLT gain first-hand experience of the law and advising TLT’s clients, which include FTSE-listed and national and international businesses, such as EDF Energy, Punch Taverns, Nationwide, Triodos Bank, WHSmith, Barclays Bank, the Co-operative Group and the Metropolitan Police Authority.
TLT has secured a reputation as one of the best legal employers in the UK. The firm was named as one of the top five UK legal employers by legal trade publication, Legal Week in 2010, and has been accredited as a Best Company to work for in 2011 by Best Companies Limited who carry out the research for the Sunday Times 100 Best Companies list.
