TLT recruits heavyweight finance litigation duo

National law firm TLT has recruited Chambers-ranked Halliwells finance litigation partners David Pacey and Richard Clayton adding further weight to the firm's nationally-recognised financial services litigation practice.

TLT is one of the largest providers of specialist litigation services to the financial sector in the UK, with over 60 staff advising major national and international, retail and commercial banks and mortgage lenders on high value complex and international disputes. TLT is on the banking litigation panels of Barclays, Bank of Ireland and Bank of India amongst others. Approximately 40% of TLT's income is from financial services clients.

David and Richard have extensive experience in advising banks, funds and other financial services firms on complex banking/finance litigation and contentious regulatory issues and have long established relationships with many of their clients. Richard and David will join TLT as partners on 5 July 2010 and will be based at TLT's new City premises at 20 Gresham Street.

TLT's Head of Financial Services, Richard Waller, comments "David and Richard joining TLT will further enhance our nationally acknowledged financial services litigation practice and will add two first-class partners to our rapidly expanding London office. I am delighted that they have chosen to join TLT."

David Pacey adds, "TLT has a very clear focus and priority in providing innovative legal support in the financial services sector and intends to enhance its status as a brand leader. We have joined because we are delighted that the firm can offer us the platform required to play our part in achieving that objective.”
