Insolvency & Turnaround practice at TLT set to grow with latest lateral hire
23 July 2007
Peter Carney, currently Head of Corporate Restructuring and Insolvency at Burges Salmon, will be joining the TLT Insolvency and Turnaround team as a partner on 1 October 2007.
Peter is a highly regarded non-contentious insolvency/turnaround/banking lawyer and a leading light in the Bristol market place, with significant connections in London. He has particular skills in restructuring bank facilities and security and has worked extensively for all the leading Insolvency Practitioners in the region and a number of the major clearing banks, including Lloyds TSB, HSBC, Bank of Scotland and RBS.
This appointment coincides with the re-appointment of TLT to the Barclays Litigation and Business Support panels this month and follows on from the appointment of insolvency specialist James Forsyth from Denton Wilde Sapte to our London office last year as part of our growing practice.
Partner Philip May, Head of the Insolvency and Turnaround team comments, " I am delighted at this latest appointment. Peter will enhance TLT’s existing offering in the insolvency and turnaround market and confirm our position as the strongest insolvency and turnaround force in the South West region. It will also significantly bolster our presence and capability throughout the M4 corridor and in London and give us the platform to develop our substantial corporate banking practice even further".
